Most kids spend their Christmas holidays thinking about what Santa is going to bring them or when they’re next going to the beach. But not BlueScale’s next generation!
Charlie is the 7 year old daughter of BlueScale Team Leader Lachlan McDonald. In December Charlie mentioned to her Mum and Dad that she wanted to do something extraordinary for other, less fortunate, children her age. Charlie decided she wanted to cut off her gorgeous long locks and donate her hair to charity.
And so, since then, Charlie has been growing her hair to be cut off and made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.
Wigs cost families up to $6,000 and only last 1-2 years. This means families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth.
Charlie is going to be cutting off around 40cm of hair on the 19th June. She would also like to reach out and ask the wider BlueScale family to support her donation by making our own. By donating funds to Variety – the Children’s Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need.
On Behalf of Charlie, her family, Variety, and BlueScale – Thank you for helping kids in need.
